For 30 years Martha Ringelstein has humbly and passionately perfected her craft at hand-selecting pretty things to create her store, The Wearhouse. Located off of Cloverdale Rd is an unsuspecting building that is one of Florence, Alabama’s best kept secrets and is the place to go if you want your home (and closet) to look stunning. When you walk through the front door a friendly face immediately greets you, offering help and welcoming you to look around. On the left side of the store are finely crafted dresses, shoes, and purses from markets in L.A., New York, and Atlanta, and to the right of the store it’s like stepping into a home décor magazine, stretching back into a large warehouse lit with twinkling lights hanging off trees, and adorned floor to ceiling with large mirrors and beautiful paintings. 

Each piece is perfectly placed for a fun, enjoyable shopping experience that will leave you with decorating ideas and your favorite new piece of furniture. 

Those who have discovered The Wearhouse are loyal customers who place orders and travel across state borders to find pieces that are fairly priced and incredibly beautiful for their home. Luckily, this lovely store is right in town and offers a variety of merchandise to suit your decorating needs, which includes everything from tables and sofas to lighting and home accessories. The store is arranged with plush chairs and large, rustic tables, complete with the ideal stylish lamp or ornament-- each piece has been carefully considered and thoughtfully chosen for the customer and overall style of the store. If you come to The Wearhouse you can be sure that Martha has put her time and experience into choosing every item at market from High Point, North Carolina and this is why her business, which started in 1984 has had such longevity. She buys things that she simply likes and the store is built around her sharp eye and keen ability to combine pretty things and make them into extraordinary rooms.

Much of the furniture is like a picture out of Southern Living, Florida Design, or Veranda Magazines with Rustic, Country French, and Traditional styles in neutral tones, high-quality textures and fabric with the occasional pop of color. All the furniture can be put on layaway, custom-ordered, and they deliver for free anywhere in the tri-city area. Her furniture can be found in many homes around The Shoals and even in some beachfront condos on The Gulf. You will truly find beautiful, lasting furniture to complete your new home or finish a recent renovation. However, furniture is not the only thing The Wearhouse sells. In the other half of the store are colorful, quality dresses, pants, blouses, shoes, and purses for women of all ages. Carrying a variety of brands, all of the clothing is individually selected from off the rack at stores in predominantly in L.A. and New York. Many of the clothing items have vintage flair and unique details that can’t be found anywhere else in the area.
